Pasquale "Pat" Rocca

1947-2017

Pasquale "Pat" Rocca

Pasquale ''Pat'' Rocca, 70, of Riverview, passed away peacefully on Monday November 20, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital with his loving children by his side. Born on January 17, 1947 in Lamezia Terme, Italy, he was the son of the late Saverio and Giovanna (Folino) Rocca.

Pat was a self-employed barber for more than 40 years. He owned both Scissors and Comb Barber Shop, as well as Fashion Focus Beauty Salon located in Riverview. He loved spending time with family and friends - but above all else cherished the time with his beloved grandchildren. Pat enjoyed road trips on his motorcycles, as well as gardening and renovating.

He is survived by his children: Tania Stote (Rob), Marco and Shawn (Erica); four grandchildren: Evan, Isabella, Elliott and Nova; two sisters: Maria Rocca (Domenico) and Anna Rocca (late Nicola); two brothers: Nicola (Michelina) and Natale (late Anna); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Clementina ''Clem'' (2009).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. church, 5 Fatima Drive, Riverview on Friday November 24 at 10 am.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team in the Neuro-ICU at the Moncton Hospital. During Pat’s illness, they treated Pat and his family with much kindness and compassion and became like part of the extended family over the year. The amazing nurses, respiratory therapists, doctors and so many more health care practitioners who supported Pat will ever be in our hearts. In memory of Pat, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Neuro-ICU) would be appreciated.
