Edouard Saulnier, 95, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday November 19, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on October 7, 1922 in Lewisville, he was the son of the late Edgar and Eva (Boudreau) Saulnier.
Edouard was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Canadian Scottish and North Shore Regiments in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Prior to his retirement, he worked for CN as a supervisor at the freight shed.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Helen née Cormier; one daughter, Pauline McInnes (Murray) of Vancouver, BC; two sons: Eugene of California and Ronald of Moncton; two grandchildren: Tessa and Marissa, both of Texas; four sisters: Jennie, Dorilla, Margaret, and Lorraine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Monday November 27 at 3 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
In memory of Edouard, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
