It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lise Vautour of Moncton on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Lise passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at the age of 48 after a four-year battle with a rare and incurable disease. Born in Moncton, NB on July 7, 1969, she was the daughter of Thérèse (Gaudet) Vautour and the late Gérard Vautour.
A lawyer by profession, Lise worked for two law firms in Cap-Pelé, NB (1995-2001), a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, SITQ, in Montreal, QC (2001-2011), and the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal in Montreal, QC (2012-2013) before moving to Moncton, NB in 2013. Shortly after her return to her hometown, Lise was forced into an early retirement due to her illness.
Lise will be sadly missed by the love of her life, her dear husband Denys T. Landry, with whom she shared her life for 26 wonderful years; her mother Thérèse Vautour; her brother Rémi Vautour; her sister Charline Vautour-Bourque (Jean-Guy); her grandmother Sara (Léger) Vautour; her aunt Rose-Ella (Vautour) Boudreau (Théodule), whom she affectionately called "Mom #2"; her mother-in-law Denise (Gallant) Landry; her sister-in-law Debby Landry; her nephew Jean-François Bourque, and her nieces Pascale Bourque, Megan Landry, Ashley Landry, and Kayla Landry. Lise was predeceased by her father, Gérard Vautour (2002).
In keeping with Lise’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, NB (532-3297), where family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 24, 2018 (2:00-5:00pm) to share memories and celebrate Lise’s life.
