Firmin "Normand" Devarennes
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Firmin "Normand" Devarennes on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Born on December 9, 1934 in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Firmin and Lydia (Cormier) Devarennes.
He was a school bus driver for 23 years.
Besides his wife of 50 years Corinne (Poirier) he is survived by two daughters: Ginette (Matthew Garino) of Rockland On. and Janice (Wayne Thébeau) of Moncton; three grandchildren whom he cherished: Danika, Evelyne and Mateo; five sisters : Mabel Charman of Dieppe, Lorette Peters (Wayne) of Fredericton, Yvette LeBlanc (Yvon) of Moncton, Marie-Mai Devarennes (Albert) of Fort-McMurray and Lucie Dupuis (Ulysse) of Shediac; five brothers: Aldérice (Lorraine) of Dieppe, Gérald (Mary) of Montréal, Léonard (Florence) of Saint-Paul, Camille (Lise) of Montréal and Walter (Marie-Rita) of Saint-Antoine; many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters: Mabel who was 1 year old, Irène, Aline and Gladys; three brothers: Willie, Alcide and Clifford.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Monday from 2 to 5pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton Tuesday January 30, 2018 at 10:30 am. In memory of Firmin, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New-Brunswick or to the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish would be appreciated.
