Lorette Melanson

Lorette Melanson, 91, wife of the late Honoré Melanson passed away peacefully at home on March 23rd, 2018 one day shy of her 92nd birthday. Born in St-Anselme on March 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Achille and Mélanie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.

She worked at Eaton’s and Marven’s before being a stay-at-home mother.

Lorette is survived by her 10 children: Norbert (Nancy) of Scoudouc, Odette Pellerin (Gérard) of Shediac, Clément-Henri of St. Stephen, Jeanne Boudreau (Roger) of Memramcook, Jeannette Gautreau (Réné) of Grand-Barachois, Monique McGrath (Eddy) of Moncton, Roland Melanson (Huberte) of Grande-Digue, Marie Gaudet (Jean-Robert) of Memramcook, Claire Goguen (Ernest) of Scoudouc and  Normand (Sonia) of Scoudouc; a brother: Raymond LeBlanc (Laurette) as well as many grand and great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Honoré, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Nicole (Boudreau) Gionet; three sisters: Marie Paquette, Irène Guitard and Dora LeBlanc and three brothers: Léo, Fred and Tom.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, March 26th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Jacques Le Majeur, 3091 route 132, Scoudouc on Tuesday March 27th at 10:30 am.

In memory of Lorette, a contribution to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Scoudouc Parish would be appreciated.
