Evangéline Martin, 58, of Moncton, passed away on Friday May 25, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on June 1, 1959 in Chatham and raised in Baie-Ste-Anne, she was the daughter of Dorina Cormier-Martin and the late Conrad Martin.
Evangéline was a teacher at Moncton Headstart, where she made a big difference in many children's lives.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two children: Mélanie McVicar (Rian) and Joshua Martin; five grandchildren: Lucas, Seth, Krynn, Rian, Brayden; five sisters: Diane Martin (Guillaume), Simonne Martin-McIntyre (Marc), Bernadette Martin, Jeanne Martin, and Rosa Pellerin (Snook); three brothers: Roger Martin (Germaine), Etienne Martin, and Marcel Martin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by four sisters: Thérèse Martin, Yolande Martin, Aurélie Nasrallah, and Céline Gallant.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday May 29 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A reception will follow at the Centre. In memory of Evangéline, a contribution to Moncton Headstart would be appreciated.
