James Harper, 56, of Moncton, passed away suddenly on Monday June 25, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on March 3, 1962 in Moncton, he was the son of Alphena (Martin) Harper of Moncton and the late Russell James Harper.
James graduated from St. Thomas University with a BA in Economics. He worked for 20 years as a consultant for the Greater Moncton Economic Commission. James had a passion for model trains and was a member of the Model Railway Association. He loved to read on history and was a fan of the Montréal Canadiens.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lucie née Babineau; his fury best friend, Kodiac; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday June 29 at 11 am. Visiting hour Friday from 10 am until time of funeral. In memory of James, a contribution to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
