Néri Bourque, 90, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Thursday October 4th, 2018 at the Dr. George-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Trois-Ruisseaux on December 3rd, 1927, he was the son of the late Alphée and Justine (Niles) Bourque.
He was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan and before his retirement, he was a 30-year employee with Ford Motors Co. of Oakville ON.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hélèna; three children: Genette Bourque (Tony McNamara), Bernadette Bee (Richard) and Michael (Josie Costantini); a brother, Freddie (Lilianne); a sister, Emma Robichaud (Arthur); seven grandchildren: Kristin Roque (Allan), Kathryn Menecola (Anthony), Haley, Sean, Jennifer Stewart (Mark), Lindsey Drennan (Sopearin Yos), Kyle Drennan: 10 great grandchildren: Victoria, Nicholas, Christopher, Dominic, Xavier, Sebastian, Owen, Connor, Emma, and Ella.
He was predeceased by four brothers: George, Adrice, David and Philippe; three sisters: Marceline McComb, Marguerite Landry and Clara Cormier.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where a chapel service will be held on Wednesday, October 10th at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the funeral centre. Visitation on Tuesday, October 9th will be from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
In memory of Néri, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation – Oncology Unit would be appreciated.
