Lilianne Larin

Lilianne Larin

Lilianne Larin, 83, of Moncton, beloved wife of the late Don ʺThe Bearʺ Larin, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Saturday October 31, 2020. Born in Alfred, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Ovila and Anna (Bourdon) Chrétien.

Lilianne grew up in a large family near the Ontario/Québec border. She and Don moved to Moncton in 1963 for what they thought was one hockey season; they liked the people and beauty of New Brunswick and stayed. Lilianne was a very caring and generous person. She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by two sons: Richard (Marilyn) of Yarmouth, NS, and Marc (Lilianne) of Saint-Charles-de-Kent, NB; two granddaughters: Crystal (David) Morabito of Airdrie, Alberta, and Sophie Larin of Saint-Charles-de-Kent, NB; two great-grandchildren: Emma Lily and Zachary Morabito, Alberta; two sisters: Rachel Gohier and Denise Belle Isle (Lucien), both of Lachute, Québec; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lilianne was predeceased by her husband, well known hockey player and manager Don ʺThe Bearʺ Larin; four brothers: Omer, Gaston, Bruno and René; and four sisters: Noëlla, Laurette, Yvette and Georgette.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in Aldouane, NB with her beloved husband. In memory of Lilianne, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
