Justine Doiron


Justine Doiron

Justine Doiron, 101, of the Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton and formerly of Rogersville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday October 31, 2020 at her residence. Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Placide and Sylvie (Richard) Aucoin.

She is survived by her 10 children, Claudette Doiron-Thiffault (late Yvon), Lucille Doiron (Marcel Chalifoux), both of Montréal, QC, André (Léa) of Moncton, Alfred (Gisèle) of Cocagne, Léa Doiron of Moncton, Émile Doiron of New Hampshire, Vincent (Nancy) of Fitchburg, Mass., Gisèle Léger (Aldeï), Yvette Maillet (Clarence), Rita Richard (Maurice) and one son-in-law, Laurie Babineau, all of Leominster, Mass.; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, a baby girl due in December by the name of Justine, her namesake; and by several nieces and nephews. Justine was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Antoine (1995); one daughter, Claire Babineau (October 1st, 2020); one son, Gérald; daughter-in-law, Délina Doiron; and two grandchildren: David Babineau and Julie Chalifoux; as well as her sisters and brothers: Fidèle, Léo, David, Régina, Flora, Maria, Lucie, and Rita.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday, November 5 from 10 am to 12 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect. A private funeral mass by invitation only will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Thursday November 5, 2020. The funeral mass will be recorded and available by the end of day Thursday; to view the funeral, go to her obituary on our Website. Interment will be in Rogersville at a later date.
