Dolores Landry, 88, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Albénie and Élodie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Dolores played a big role in her family’s life. Being a positive person, she always had a smile. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and loved to be around family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Micheline Gould (Normand) of Shemogue; two sons: Roland (Bernice) and Gilles (Gisèle) both of Dupuis Corner; three grandchildren: Mélanie Gould of Shemogue, Nicklaus of Dupuis Corner and Joshua (Vicky) of Irishtown; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Kaleb; three sisters: Sister Benoite (Missionnaire du Christ-Roi) of Montréal, Émilienne "Emily" Cormier (Late Dick) of Massachusetts and Raymonde Gagnon (Late Ronald) of Grand-Barachois; five brothers: Donald (late Marie-Léa) of Haute-Aboujagane, Roger (Léone) of Shediac, Louis (Annette) of Massachusetts, Antonin "Tony" and Bernard (Murielle) both of Haute-Aboujagane; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her spouse, Aquila (2015); two sisters: Germaine and Angela; one brother, Norbert "Pete" and one grandson Mathieu (2002).
Visitation will be at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Tuesday, December 1 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm only.
Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required, and social distancing regulations are in effect. Masks are mandatory to enter the funeral centre. Limit of 25 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
A private funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R. C. Church, 2648, Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Wednesday Dec 2 and will be recorded. The video will be available on her obituary on our Website by the end of the day.
